Yes you still have to keep fit in your 60s. Your body still needs maintenance and if you look after it and not give up, your mind will also be happier.

I give light exercise, light stretching and self defence movements whilst learning how to breath, lastly followed by meditation to clear your mind. Most people do not breath properly or take the time to breath in and exhale. Even when exercising people fail to breath before they do a movement. In Tae Kwon Do this is absolutely necessary in order to get a powerful and technical technique, together with the timing needed to defend oneself.  If your legs are not what they were, like mine, with a hip problem you can still work out your upper body and strengthen it.  It is also a lot of fun and you can get acreditation by way of belts and diplomas which will give you a boost.  My Academy students all like to escape from their jobs, the family and general life for a while with this exercise and self-defence regime. Try it out.  Register today under Contact, fill in the Form and send it to me.

I started Tae Kwon Do in Singapore in 1970 whilst serving with the British Royal Air Force, at a time when Tae Kwon Do was unheard of within Europe, and have trained with several Tae Kwon Do organisations in the UK.
