Instruction Video for the UTI Knife Form, required for 4th Dan/Degree upwards.

United Tae Kwon Do International the Netherlands Knife Form consisting of 81 movements.  The Knife is called a Dan-Geom, the pattern is called Cha-Rywk. Cha-Rywk is a Korean byword for 'make use of someones power'.  The pattern is moving close around one point.  There are 81 positions in this pattern, a manifold of the number three. This number is in the Eastern aswel in the Western World, seen as the symbol of unity and stability.

This pattern was created by Grandmaster Karel van Orsouw, 9th Degree, President of the UTI.

About

I started Tae Kwon Do in Singapore in 1970 whilst serving with the British Royal Air Force, at a time when Tae Kwon Do was unheard of within Europe, and have trained with several Tae Kwon Do organisations in the UK.
